David Carey, president of Hearst Magazines, guided the world’s largest publisher of monthly magazines through its transition to the digital age. Key to Carey’s success was his “Months to Moments” strategy, an approach that called for an increase in the timeliness and amount of content that Hearst produced. The transition, however, is far from over.
