In preparation for an upcoming product launch, Microsoft approached Future of to help bring their latest storytelling platform, Sway, to market. Sway is a cloud-based presentation platform that gives anyone the ability to create elegant, media-rich stories. developed a multiphase, invite-only influencer program, designed to guide product engineering and marketing objectives through user feedback.
First, hand-selected 60 Summit attendees and personally invited them to take part in the exclusive Sway Influencer Group. They were offered early access to the Sway platform and invited to attend a VIP cocktail party for Sway that was held at Snug Harbor. At the party, our sponsorship lead at Microsoft gave a special address to officially launch the platform and welcome guests into the influencer program.
For Summit attendees at large, we also organized two 60-minute workshops led by an Emmy-nominated documentarian about interactive storytelling on the Sway platform and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablets. Sway was also featured onsite during the Summit in the Story Arcade, our pop-up exhibit of the most innovative storytelling tools and technologies, where all attendees could demo Sway for the first time.
After the Summit, members of the influencer group were mailed a Surface Pro 3 tablet as a token of appreciation for participating in the Influencer program. They were also invited to create their own Sway stories, which they later shared at a -hosted luncheon in New York that served as a marketing focus group and opportunity to exchange best use case studies.
