Future of StoryTelling response to COVID-19
BY Future of StoryTelling — March 24, 2020
The health and well-being of our community is the most important thing to us. In light of the COVID-19 crisis, we believe the safest and most responsible course of action is to postpone the Future of StoryTelling Summit until next year. We look forward to all being reunited for the next FoST Summit (on the beautiful Snug Harbor campus) on June 9th & 10th, 2021.
During this time of social distancing and isolation, we need stories more than ever to help us feel connected, create empathy, and feel part of something larger than ourselves. FoST is actively engaged in devising ways to be of service and to provide content free of charge in the interest of supporting the broader community.
Last week we launched the FoST Podcast , where we talk with some of the world’s most innovative, skillful, and creative storytellers from diverse backgrounds—from media and marketing to technology and the arts. The first of our weekly episodes is with FoST Favorite Angela Ahrendts, former SVP of Retail at Apple and CEO of Burberry. And this Thursday we share our second episode with Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of the Public Theater, who helped bring Angels in America and Hamilton to the stage. We invite you to be part of these conversations by subscribing to the series here.
We will also continue to produce our monthly newsletter, FoST in Thought, where we share the most interesting developments in diverse and emerging fields of storytelling and celebrate the passion, projects, and ideas of our community. We hope you will subscribe and enjoy.
Though we cannot meet in person in the foreseeable future, we are already cooking up new ideas for programming designed to keep us engaged and connected. So look out for forthcoming announcements of creative and participatory FoST content that you can enjoy from home.

Please take good care, be safe, and story on!
