Yasmeen Hassan is the Global Executive Director of Equality Now, an international human rights organization focused on the rights of women and girls around the world. She has worked on women’s rights at the United Nations, particularly in countries emerging from conflict, and on the Secretary-General’s study on violence against women. She sits on the boards of Musawah; The Global Women’s March; The Women’s Building; and Chime for Change. She has appeared in numerous media outlets, including CNN, Al Jazeera, the Huffington Post, the New York Times and the Washington Post. She holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Mount Holyoke College.
