Biography
Loc Dao is the Chief Digital Officer for the National Film Board of Canada and a digital content creator. He is the cofounder of the groundbreaking NFB Digital and CBC Radio 3 studios and their industry-shifting bodies of work. The combination of his experience in digital strategy, editorial, web development, content production, and architecting large-scale internet delivery systems brings a rare multidimensional approach that pushes the boundaries of what can be done with story, form, and platform. Some of his projects include Bear 71, Welcome to Pinepoint, and Waterlife, which have been credited with inventing the new art form of interactive documentary.

Dao’s CBC Radio 3 was one of the world’s first cross-media success stories, combining the award-winning CBC Radio 3 web magazine, terrestrial and satellite radio, podcasts, and three user-generated content sites that preceded MySpace and YouTube.
