Andrew Peters is a world-class storybuilder. Ask him about adventures growing up on a farm in the Midwest, helping village chiefs regain their sight in The Gambia, taking a toddler to Cambodia, or going undercover to give girls trapped in slavery in India some hope. At the heart of it all, Peters believes in living a great story every day as he raises a growing family in the woods in Cincinnati. Andrew has told stories on behalf of marginalized individuals, NGOs, and Fortune 500 companies. It Takes Two: Building Stories in Physical Space

In this workshop, you’ll learn the essentials of telling a story in a physical space. Before getting into the design principles for storytelling in a physical space, Andrew Peters will lay out some foundational principles about how all humans communicate (attract, trust, inform, internalize, act). He will then translate these to some design principles for storytelling in space (i.e., icon, Q, pre-show, main attraction, exit through retail). Using this framework, participants will think through their life story and use a bubble model to design their life story in a physical space.
